Who I am, where I was raised, where I live and what I like are of little to no consequence here. Only the journey is important, and what may be gathered from it.

I was taught as a child to question everything, especially that which was taught by people in high positions. I was told to question textbooks, pastors, teachers, the news and our government. It was made clear to me that one should never accept any information without questions, for it is only through those questions that one can hope to get close to the truth.

Despite all of this, I found myself at the age of 21 believing a lot of information that I had never questioned. Information that had been handed down to me from people in high positions, which I simply took as truth. Upon coming to this realization, I set out to question and reexamine everything about my faith - everything that I believed. While one must come with the faith of a child, nothing requires us to come with the wisdom of one.

It is because of this that, much to my dismay, I found myself dead at the age of 23.

I now find myself within a forest dark, for the straightforward pathway has been lost. It is here that my journey continues as I seek out and strive to follow the narrow path.
